It's Tough When Life Feels Like This

  • You feel stuck. Each day looks the same and nothing feels fun or exciting anymore.

  • You know you want things to be different, but you're so tired you don't know where to start.

  • It's hard to focus. Your thoughts might race, and even small tasks feel huge and impossible, which can leave you worn out.

  • You keep doing things that you know will cause problems for you, but it feels like you can't stop.

  • You feel worried or nervous a lot. It might be a quiet, buzzy feeling inside, or a big burst of panic that feels overwhelming.

  • Bad memories from the past feel heavy. They might show up as nightmares or make you feel like something bad is about to happen.

  • You lost someone or something important. The sadness can leave you feeling lost and alone.

  • Sometimes you feel numb or empty inside. It can seem like you're watching life instead of living it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost? Do you take insurance?

Each 50-minute session costs $160. I accept Optum, Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal, and Healthnet Medi-Cal. If you use another plan, I can give you a receipt (called a "superbill") to send to your insurance so they can help with the cost.

What is the first session like?

Our first meeting is just a calm, relaxed conversation. We will talk about why you wanted to try therapy and what you hope to get out of it. It's a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we make a good team.

How do I know if you're the right therapist for me?

The best way to know is by having a free 15-minute phone chat with me. The most important thing in therapy is that you feel comfortable. During our call, you can see what I'm like and, most importantly, find out if you feel safe and understood when you talk to me.

How long will I be in therapy?

It's different for everyone. Some people start to feel better after a few months. Others who are working on bigger challenges might need more time. We will always go at a speed that feels right for you.

How often do we meet?

When we first start, I suggest meeting once a week. Meeting regularly helps us make good progress. Once you start feeling better, we can talk about meeting every two weeks or whenever you need to.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please give me at least 48 business hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. With less notice, or if you miss the visit, I charge the regular session fee.
